Financial Accountant
Job Description
Location: Monsey, NY
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct bank reconciliations for multiple companies to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
- Calculate and prepare sales tax and VAT reports according to local regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including income and sales tax, with regulatory bodies.
- Manage intercompany transactions, including those with foreign entities, adhering to transfer pricing rules and ensuring proper documentation and consolidation.
- Oversee financial transactions and the P&L of direct-to-customer companies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Support month-end processes such as reconciliations of loans, mortgages, balance sheets, and income statements, and analyze fluctuations.
- Maintain short-term cash forecasts to inform the organization of its liquidity status.
- Handle inventory adjustments and valuations.
- Generate ad-hoc reports for internal leadership.
Skills and Proficiencies:
- Experience in accounting or related field, with 4 to 6 years of professional experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Skilled in using ERP accounting software like NetSuite, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with eCommerce management platforms and NetSuite is advantageous but not mandatory.
Salary:
$120,000 per year
